geeeez louise, i've been killing myself all week between trying to finish all my work at work, then going to the gym then getting home and working  all night on my presentation for the embassy which is tonight. i didnt go to bed last night till after 4. hope everyone likes it.  in any case, im sitting here at work, waiting for the director to get back to me about my layouts, so i thought id pen a few lines here about myself. me and pana are playing tomorrow night at starbucks around 9 p.m. the lady that sets it up is worried that just as many people will come tonight. i was a little confused cuz i thought they wanted it to be busier, but then when its busy its too busy. my theory is, what they really want is more traffic, but less campers. which means they wanna get more people in buying coffee, but then they dont want them sticking around to awfully long. which is understandable. i know how that industry works. so i guess what ill try to do is play some really good songs, to get people to come in, and then, as everyone is sipping gingerly at there cappuccinos, ill start singing out of tune and all wonky. that should scare off most of them. at which point i'll start back into the good stuff to rebuild interest.

not a bad theory, if i do say so myself.

oh yeah, also, this is kinda big news. my old animation director, mentor, and friend, robert pope, and his wife helen just had a baby! WOO HOO. baby james. im really happy for them. can't wait to see the little guy.

and also, pana's friend jess, who down for the week from maryland, i've just been informed that she got a job offer here! im guessing she'll be movin down in a month or two for good. pretty cool huh.

ok, i'm going to go find something to eat.  REMEMBER!, starbucks tomorrow at 9! just dont bring too many friends or i'll have to start singing out of tune.

so im here at turner, getting ready to start my day...its 11 a.m. and i know that i probably won't be going home tonight until well past 2 a.m.

thats the way it is when your an animator i guess. gotta make those deadlines, gotta keep that producer happy, you gotta make the directors happy, you gotta make the writers happy. a small price to pay to call yourself an animator right? actually, these days im not so sure. sometimes it feels like im busting my ass for several different groups of people and im not sure why. in anycase, i like working late sometimes. i get to crank phil hendrie on my computer, get comfortable, talk out loud to myself if i want, and draw the night away.

well, guess ill get started on  this scene, see you all when it's complete...

it's getting there, im not totally sure im diggin the way the verses blend with the bridge, and im not totally crazy about the last couple lines, but we'll see.

other than that, we played our little show last friday at starbucks and a bunch of really cool people showed up. i think they all clapped after every damn song which made me feel amazing! i think pana, the lead guitarist felt he coulda played a bit stonger, and i think donna wished she knew more songs...but hey kids, good things come to those who wait. give it some time, i mean, i've been waiting my whole life just to find people im able to make music with.

oh yeah, and i slept like shit last night.
